Monte Vista High School, Danville CA - Learning Outreach Club
Sephali (Diya) Ghoshal
Co-Founder & President Hi! My name is Diya Ghoshal and I am a Sophmore at Monte Vista High school. I have been part of the Learning Outreach club since my Freshman year and Co-Founded the club with my sisters, Amaya and Ariya Ghoshal. Growing up in Danville, I have been fortunate to have access to unlimited educational resources and have benefited from an excellent school system. Most of this access is due to my family’s socioeconomic status. Unfortunately, those that are economically disadvantaged simply don’t have this access to educational resources. I am passionate about better understanding the socioeconomic disparities both locally and globally. Being part of this club has shifted my perspective entirely by allowing me to see just how privilege correlates to better opportunities and greater future economic prosperity. I enjoy rowing for Oakland Strokes and baking in my free time. Roumina Shahrodizadh
Treasurer Hey everyone my name is Roumina Shahrodizadh. I am a junior at Monte Vista, this is my first year being part of the Learning Outreach team. I’m excited to get to know everyone on the team and work together as a community to make improvements.

Claire Chin
Vice President Hi! My name is Claire Chin and I am thrilled to be part of Learning Outreach this school year. As a sophomore at MV, I’m interested in learning more about the academic achievement gap and existing socioeconomic disparities. From my various tutoring experiences, I’ve cultivated a passion for teaching and education. One day, I hope to make a positive impact on California’s education system and I believe that Learning Outreach presents a great platform for me to achieve that goal. Outside of school, some of my hobbies include traveling, watching movies, debate, and tutoring. I look forward to a great year with this club!
Alexa Fo Secretary Hi, I’m Alexa Fo! I’m a sophomore at Monte Vista and the secretary of the Learning Outreach club. My goal is to help provide students with more educational opportunities and to ultimately bridge the learning gap. In my free time, I enjoy writing music, doing Taekwondo, and traveling with my family.
